RARE 19THC DOUBLE FACED WAX DOLL - PROBABLY FRITZ BARTENSTEIN. Probably by Fritz Bartenstein and circa 1860-1885, an unusual wax headed doll with two faces (happy and crying), the head operated by two draw strings on the back and with composition limbs (36cms high). Also with a 20thc doll and some clothing.

More Information

Wax doll, the head and face seems generally fine, the hood is fixed into position so I can't look further at the back of the head, there are two small cracks that I can see at the base of the neck (see images), mechanism is working but a little stiff, chips to the feet and hands (see images).
