Victorian silver verge pair cased pocket watch, London 1849, the fusee movement signed John Sheppard, 1851, no. 63064, with pierced engraved balance cock, flat steel three arm balance, Bosley type regulator and cylindrical pillars, the dial with Roman numerals and minute track, within plain matching cases, case maker 'JW' (John West), 55mm
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - hairlines and scratch marks.
Glass - numerous scratches.
Hands - not matching, surface marks.
Case - inner case with surface marks and tarnishing, small indentation, outer case with some play in the hinge, surface marks, tarnishing, split line to the bezel and a soldered repair to the bottom edge where the case had split.
