THREE CHINESE POTTERY TEA BOWLS, SONG DYNASTY 12/13TH CENTURY. A Jizhou tortoise shell glazed bowl with deep rounded sides covered in a brown spotted glaze resembling that of a tortoise shell. Together with two smaller bowls to include a hare's fur glazed bowl and one other black glazed bowl with silver streaks. Largest bowl 11.4cm diam. (3)
Tortoise shell glazed bowl with repaired section to rim measuring around 6cm across at the rim. Two smaller bowls in good overall condition. Provenance: Property of Dennis Young, son to Sir Mark Aitchison Young GCMG (1886-1974) who served as Governor of Hong Kong between 1941 and 1947, thence by descent.
