A High Victorian late 19th century 8th Regiment Scottish V. B. K. L. R. handwritten manuscript book of pipe music. Containing a recent letter with verse from Pipe Major Brian Supple. Contemp. ownership inscription of Donald Adam, binder's label of G. Fraser and Co's Liverpool. Containing such verses as The King's Welcome to Liverpool 1904, Captain Cole Hamilton, March to the Battlefield, Daft Donald, Miss MacGregor's Favorite, The Briar Bush, My Nature's Highland Home, The Pride o' Caledonia etc. Bound in contemp. half leather, worn and rubbed to extremities, binding very loose with pages disbound but present, leaves edgeworn, well-used. Approx. 37 hand written leaves.
