Two Indian Colonial silver ceremonial padlocks, each with a key, the first inscribed 'Ranjit Hall of the Barton Library, Loonawada, opened by W.Doderet P.A., November 1896', the second inscribed 'Dixon Library, opened by W.Doderet, Collector, 1902', 8cm and 7cm respectively, together with an embossed silver pin cushion, possibly also Indian, decorated with flowering blossom, 7cm high. (3) Footnote:The W.Doderet referenced on these padlocks is most likely William Doderet who was born in Madras in 1868 and became a Magistrate and Collector in Nashick, Maharashtra, India. No information appears to be extant regarding the Dixon or Barton libraries or Ranjit Hall.
