The Management of Potters Auction Saleroom accepts no liability for any theft of damage of items from the saleroom or while in transit.
While all items will be described as accurately as possible, we accept no responsibility for originality of provenance of any item. Photographs are of actual items and not stock photos, therefore we are not responsible for assumptions on colour, size or condition of lots.
All photographs remain the intellectual property of Potters Auction Saleroom Ltd and must not be reproduced without our express permission.
Should a buyer be dissatified with lots when buying online, we cannot issue refunds or credit notes. We can offer that Item back for sale in the next available auction to re-coup the buyers original payment.
All Items offered for sale are to be considered as sold as seen with no warranty offered or implied.
All electrical items bought from us should be PAT tested before use or resale.
The final hammer price of any lot is a binding contract of sale and therefore not negotiable.
Non Paying bidders will be prohibited from future sales at the discretion of the management of Potters Auction Saleroom.
Vendors who fail to collect unsold lots after a period of seven days from the date of sale shall forfeit those goods which the management reserve the right to then sell to cover storage costs or dispose of accordingly.
A disposal charge will also be made for each lot in which the vendor requests disposal.
Buyers who fail to collect purchased lots after a period seven days from the date of sale shall be charged storage costs of £1.50 per lot per day. Should the buyer fail to collect after three weeks from the date of sale, the buyer shall forfeit those goods irrespective of if they have been paid for or not, which the management reserve the right to then sell to cover storage costs, or dispose of accordingly. A disposal charge will also be made for each lot destined for disposal
No Item shall be removed from the saleroom until full payment has been made and then only with the consent of the management of Potters Auction Saleroom. There can be NO exceptions to this rule.
Threatening, violent or anti-social actions or behaviour will be dealt with immediately then referred to the Police. Management reserve the right to remove or ban from future sales, anyone who causes disturbance or nuisance on our premises.
Theft or attempted theft of any item within the saleroom will be reported to the Police and prosecution is CERTAIN. Our premises are covered by CCTV surveilance both inside and out. Moving images and still photo's will be given to the police by way of evidence in the event of theft which will then be used in any court action.
Registering buyers & vendors must provide proof of ID & Address.
All lots are subject to 18% commission plus 3% + VAT for Premium online bidders where the ‘Flat Fee’ option has not been selected.
Lots which carry an agreed reserve shall be charged at 5% of the agreed reserve price in the event of the lot being unsold after the auction. inclusion of such lots in further sales are at the discretion of the management.
A charge of 0.50p per lot will be charged to buyers to cover administration and handling .
Delivery of goods will be charged at a rate agreed to by both the purchaser and Management before any delivery is made. Management reserve the right to refuse delivery at our discretion.
During the auction we insist that all mobile phones be turned to silent mode or off.
Smoking within the confines of the Saleroom or associated rooms is strictly forbidden.
Please refrain from talking or chattering while the auction is in progress.
Dogs, while welcome in our saleroom must be on a lead and under control. Management reserve the right to refuse admission to any animal we deem to be unsuitable, dangerous or a nuisance .

Items which have to be posted out, our charges will be the actual postage cost of small items plus packaging charges.
Due to the large and varied nature of items to be posted, Payment will be requested before any item is dispatched and must be paid for on a separate invoice.
If you require postage or delivery, then please could you pay for the items first.
We will then send you a separate invoice with regards to postage or delivery.
We will always post out by insured registered signed for post. We will endeavour to pack all items safely and securely but we can accept no responsibility for items damaged or lost in transit. Such claims for damaged or lost items must be conducted with the carrier.
Items posted to countries outside the UK will normally be sent by Airmail unless otherwise requested by the purchaser and likewise we can accept no responsibility for items damaged, lost or stolen in transit.

Larger Items such as furniture, garden furniture or items too large for normal postage will be sent by Courier at the Purchasers expense.
Carriers can be arranged by us or by the purchaser which ever is most suitable and convenient for the Purchaser. This cost must be paid for by a separate invoice and payment must be made before transit.
Potters auction can deliver items within a reasonable distance from DN15 6TN for a price to be arranged and agreed by both parties however, we cannot accept any liability for theft of damage of items while in transit.
