CONDITIONS OF SALE

TELEPHONE BIDDING is undertaken in good faith, but is entirely at the bidder's own risk. Neither the auctioneer nor his staff accept any legal or other responsibility for failure to execute the bid due to human error or technical fault.

RESERVE PRICES may be agreed between auctioneer and vendor. Alternatively, the vendor or his agents may bid – but the vendor may not also bid if it has been agreed that the auctioneer will be effecting reserves. If a lot has been entered at an unrealistic high reserve at the insistence of the vendor against our advice then a £5 charge per lot will be made for any unsold lots.

The auctioneer will regulate the bidding and may refuse any bid.

All lots to be at the buyer's risk from fall of the hammer.

All lots purchased by one person will be taken as being in one contract

Any damage caused to goods or property by a bidder or other third party to be made good by that party.

All goods to be paid for within 7 days of the auction close unless an arrangement is in place. SHould items not be collected within this time then a £10 per day storage charge per lot will be added to the invoice.

BUYER'S PREMIUM – 20% Plus VAT

VENDOR'S COMMISSION – 20% Plus VAT
We use Bowden's , our sister company that already specialises in postage and packaging to the UK. We aim to get all items from the auction packaged and posted within three days of receipt of payment. Our auction admin team start working on the Monday after the auction and all lots should be posted by the end of that week.

Overseas bidders: please check with us before purchasing items to ensure that we can ship to your location. Most items are possible - weight is of course a pricing issue! Under 2KG parcels tend to be very straightforward but please bear in mind there will be an extra charge of £10 for filling out customs forms.

We understand that occasionally there are issues collecting lots won or deciding on shipping. Please keep us informed. We allow 7 full days post sale for collection - failure to do after this time will incur a £10 daily storage charge at a minimum.

We currently send all parcels on a standard 48 HR service with Royal Mail who, over the years we have found the most reliable. All parcels are covered for £150 compensation as standard. If the items are more value then we increase that amount.

The following is a guide but there are always exceptions

Most parcels : £15.00 UK (This is always insured for £150)
Insured for up to £500 - £30
Insured for up to £1,000 - £40

If a lot is large or has many components then we will probably charge a further £25 for extra shipping and the time taken to pack the items.

Pallets and door to door deliveries - all available via quote
Door to door delivery of a simple but very fragile item would be approximately £50
We are always very nervous about sending fragile items of high value in the post.

Larger and unusual items can be quoted for via pallets and private courier service
We use a regular courier we trust and that covers the entire country - Scotland included. We can guarantee delivery anywhere in the UK within a maximum of 2 weeks whatever the size of the lot.
