All of the lots in this catalogue feature various photographs and descriptions, however please do enquire with our team and request further information if you've got any questions across any of the lots.

We do our utmost to identify any issues we're aware of with any items listed within this catalogue, such as any damage or repair and accordingly noting an item as an A/F, but please be advised that the onus to inspect an item and/or satisfy yourselves as to condition or provenance, sits solely with the bidder,

Shipping within the UK and Internationally is fine and we are happy to accommodate any P&P requests, but would ask that interested bidders please get in touch in advance of the sale and in advance of bidding to request a shipping quote. All the best to everyone bidding and all the best to our bidders, buyers and sellers for a prosperous and positive 2022. Thank you.

Full Buyer Terms & Conditions:

Halifax Mill Auctioneers are based at The Printworks, Arches St, Halifax, HX1 2SY and are contactable by telephoning 07712 566791, or emailing to [email protected].

By registering for this auction and in particular bidding on any items advertised for sale within the Auctioneer's catalogue, the bidder is confirming that they have inspected the item or items in question in advance of the live auction's commencement, either through the photographs or written descriptions online, or by visiting the Auctioneer's premises to view in person.

Any pertinent queries or concerns about an item should be addressed to the Auctioneer in advance of any bid being placed, whether this be on the subject of the item itself, or shipping/collection if this is required.

All items listed for auction by Halifax Mill Auctioneers are sold as seen and it is the bidder's responsibility to ensure they are wholly satisfied with an item, whether this be its provenance, condition, weight or size, in advance of the sale's commencement and ultimately before any bids are placed.

Halifax Mill Auctioneers will not accept any retracted bids within the bidding process and are not responsible for any financial loss as a result of any bid being missed, any logistics issues within the sale itself, or any technical problems either in-situ at Halifax Mill, or as a result of problems with Easy Live Auction's bidding platform. The Auctioneer will do its utmost to ensure that all bids are taken and a fair and competitive bidding platform is managed; however we are not responsible for any bidder's financial loss as a result of anything connected to the sale itself.

In advance of a sale's commencement, the auctioneer reserves the right to remove any item from the catalogue at the behest of a vendor - Halifax Mill Auctioneers act as agents for our vendors/sellers and are not responsible for any associated loss incurred through an item being removed from any sale. Any property or goods listed for sale within our auctions are solely the property of the vendors, until the winning bid has been taken, the hammer brought down, and ultimately a buyer payment has been made post-sale.

Winning buyers will be contacted within 24hrs of the sale's cessation, to be notified of their successful bids. Please ensure that where possible, payment is made within 72hrs of the sale date with collection arranged by the Friday of the following week.

Where a bidder is based outside of the UK & NI, please ensure that any relevant import/export shipping charges have been looked into in advance of bidding and/or courier costs have been considered.

If or where a bidder has to retract their winning bid or are unable to commit to their purchase, Halifax Mill Auctioneers will automatically add a ban to the bidder's Easy Live Auction account. Furthermore and where appropriate, we also reserve the right to pursue the bidder's binding intention to purchase, at a legal level.

All offers of purchase placed through bidding within this auction are final and binding upon the bidder, and under no circumstances do we accept refunds or returns.

PAYMENT METHODS:

We accept cash-on-collection and VISA/Mastercard Debit card payments, but DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS nor personal cheques.
COLLECTION, SHIPPING & P&P:

Winning buyers must collect their items from our HX1 2SY premises within five working days of the sale, so by Friday at 5pm at the latest. Any failure to do so will result in storage charges being levied at a minimum of £5 per day, up to £20 per day for any larger pieces of furniture.

Shipping within the UK and Internationally can be arranged upon application from the winning buyer; however where this is required we would recommend that a bidder contact us in advance of the sale day to request a quote.

We use Royal Mail as our preferred shipping partner due to the risks of damage to items with some of the cheaper wholesale parcel couriers. On top of that weighted and sized RM postage cost, we will add a wrapping/shipping cost of our own, at a maximum of £20+VAT per hour.

Where any item requires shipping or postage, the responsibility for meeting those logistics sit wholly with the bidder. Halifax Mill Auctioneers are simply facilitating that need, whilst covering our costs - but will do our utmost to ensure that any shipping charges are as cost-effective as possible. Where shipping is required, we will quote you prior to any work being undertaken and only proceed once an agreement has been reached and advance payment received.

We do not currently have a preferred courier option in the Halifax area, but any winning bidders are more than welcome to arrange for their own courier to come and collect their goods. Any wrapping or boxing up of items ready for a courier collection, may be chargeable on the discretion of the Auctioneer.
