Sale Description:
A Book Auction Comprising of the Library Rosaleen (Roz) Cowman, an Award-Winning Poet, Critic, and Lecturer in Creative Writing at University College Cork.

Rosaleen Cowman has received numerous accolades and bursaries, including the prestigious Patrick Kavanagh Award and multiple Arts Council bursaries. As an esteemed critic and reviewer, she has contributed extensively to various literary periodicals. In her role as an educator, she has led numerous courses on creative writing, literature, and critical analysis for institutions ranging from UCC to Cork Prison.

Her library embodies her diverse, progressive, and pioneering interests, spanning feminism, gender theory, critical theory, and comparative literature. It also includes specific interest areas such as the Cavalier era, nature, psychology, and Hungarian literature (the latter reflecting her work as a translator of Hungarian poetry). The collection boasts hundreds of poetry books, including many signed editions, with a particular focus on Irish poets from the 1980s and 1990s.
