Sale Description:
Islamic Art and Antiques

Mayfair Auction House is pleased to announce a meticulously curated auction of Islamic and Middle Eastern art and antiques, scheduled to take place on the 25th of May. Our team of experts has scrupulously prepared each lot, ensuring that every item possesses distinct characteristics that are sure to captivate the discerning eye of buyers.

The catalogue commences with early Qufic pages, exemplifying the exquisite manuscripts of the Abbasid era. The offerings then transition to a magnificent collection of manuscripts, including Qurans, Dalail Khayrats, religious books, and more. Our objects hail from different epochs and are imbued with unique stories, such as the lot featuring the ring gifted by Ottoman admiral Barbaros Hayrettin Pasa to his lover.

In addition, the auction comprises an exceptional selection of textiles, ranging from the Holy Shirin to the decorative items, with pieces from exceptional collections. We take great pride in presenting this outstanding auction to our valued clientele, and our team is eager to provide any necessary information and expertise.
