New BBC Show Airs this Week Featuring Easy Live Auction & Eastbourne Auctions

We were pleased to participate in a new TV show, The Travelling Auctioneers, this year. We feature alongside Eastbourne Auctions in a show filmed at Herstmonceux Castle, which will air this week.

A new show, The Travelling Auctioneers, is airing on BBC 1 this week. The show is presented by Will Kirk, restoration maestro from Morning Live and The Repair Shop, and auctioneering expert Christina Trevanion, who has appeared on Bargain Hunt and the Antiques Road Trip.

The Travelling Auctioneers is a brand new format for BBC One daytime and is created and produced by STV Studios, the makers of The Yorkshire Auction House and Antiques Road Trip.

The show launches on Monday, October 31st at 4:30 pm and will air every weekday for three weeks. Will and Christina take their workshop and mobile auction house out on the road across the UK, sifting through one family home at a time in search of saleable items. We will see hidden gems unearthed and unwanted items turned into winning lots. One lucky couple made over £9,000 in the series!

Will uses his restoration skills and creativity to bring new life to neglected treasures, while Christina draws on her auction expertise and contacts in the industry. Each episode climaxes with an exciting on-site auction.

Easy Live Auction and Eastbourne Auctions assisted in the production of one of the episodes, which was filmed at Herstmonceux Castle back in May this year. Paul Achilleous of Eastbourne Auctions hosted the auction for the show, with Jonathan Burnside of Easy Live Auction assisting with the provision of online bidding and technical assistance.

This episode will air on Thursday, November 3rd and features Jo and Dan from West Sussex, who have boxes of inherited goods stashed away in the garage and loft. While Christina discovers items with auction potential, Will gets to work on furniture repairs. You’ll have to tune in this week to find out what happened when bidders gathered at Herstmonceux castle for the auction.

Creative Director of Factual at STV Studios which created the show, Craig Hunter, said: “I’m thrilled to be taking our bespoke auction house out on the road with Will and Christina. They’re a fantastic duo who will unearth the heartfelt stories behind the nation’s unwanted belongings whilst also delivering useful tips on how to restore and sell them. It’s a fresh and exciting new addition to this genre, made even more special with Will and Christina behind the wheel.”

We’re really proud to have taken part in this exciting new show and look forward to seeing the full episode at 4:30 pm on BBC One this Thursday. Tune in with us and let us know your thoughts.
